The Associate HR Business Partner (HRBP) for GIH Global provides comprehensive HR operational support to the global GIH team, ensuring alignment with global and regional HR strategies. This role is instrumental in driving HR processes, reporting, employee engagement, and compliance, while serving as a key liaison between employees, managers, and the broader HR function.

Your Job

As an Associate HR Business Partner, you will support the GIH Global business by delivering operational HR excellence, driving data-driven decision-making, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the annual performance cycle, managing HR analytics, and ensuring seamless HR administration. Your work will directly contribute to Cigna’s mission of improving lives and advancing whole person health by empowering our people and supporting leadership with timely, accurate HR insights.

Main Reponsabilities

Operational Support

  • Coordinate and support the annual performance cycle, including goal setting and mid-year reviews, ensuring timely communication, reporting, and manager education.
  • Facilitate monthly KPI reviews and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) across GIH sales teams.
  • Manage end-to-end HR administrative processes including coordination for onboarding, internal transfers, offboarding, and disciplinary documentation.
  • Provide guidance to employees on Middle East HR policies, benefits, attendance, payroll, and offboarding procedures.
  • Oversee DEWS enrolment, final settlement data entry, and coordination of visa and medical insurance cancellations.
  • Support HR compliance and audit readiness by maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Own the accuracy and timeliness of HR reporting and analytics to support workforce planning and decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly HR reports for management meetings, including recruitment, attrition, new joiners, and other Workday metrics.
  • Support the preparation of HR agendas and activity updates for management meetings.
  • Review and approve monthly overtime reports and coordinate with MyProtime for attendance checks.
  • Maintain and update monthly GIH distribution lists.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a point of contact for GIH employees, providing consultation on HR policies, benefits, and grievance procedures.
  • Collaborate with GIH Communications to prepare and distribute HR-related communications, including policy updates and event announcements.
  • Support the HR Director in implementing HR initiatives and employee engagement programs.
  • Support the GIH Employee Committees and contribute to the implementation of engagement action plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth HR operations.

Administrative Duties

  • Coordinate internal and external training sessions, including attendance tracking and logistics.
  • Prepare employment and exit documents as required.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of employment certificates and other HR documentation.
  • Support the coordination of all offboarding activities within GIH DIFC.
  • Draft HR communications, letters, and memos as needed.
  • Support policy updates and internal communications.

Skills And Knowledge Needed

  • Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in HR or administrative roles.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Specific Knowledge: HR operations, Middle East labor law, HRIS (Workday preferred), HR analytics and reporting.
  • Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
