Job Description

The role of an Associate in Fleet Operations is integral to ensuring the seamless functioning and management of vehicular assets within the organization. You will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing fleet performance, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and implementing cost-effective strategies to enhance operational efficiency. The position demands a proactive individual with keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Communication prowess is essential for liaising with a range of stakeholders, including drivers, vendors, and senior management. As an Associate, you will be given the opportunity to contribute to the overall strategic goals of the fleet management department by being involved in hands-on operational tasks as well as data-driven decision-making processes.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze fleet performance metrics to optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure all vehicular assets comply with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining high operational standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicles, drivers, and related documentation.
  • Assist in developing policies and procedures for fleet operations management.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers to resolve operational issues promptly.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and service providers for favorable terms.
  • Conduct periodic audits of fleet utilization and cost efficiencies.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for upper management on fleet performance.
  • Support the logistics team in route planning and dispatch optimization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in fleet management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • Previous experience in fleet management or logistics is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software and MS Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license and knowledge of road safety regulations.
