Job Description

As an Associate in Fleet Operations, you will play a vital role in managing and optimizing our company's fleet of vehicles. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless operation, maintenance, and efficiency of our transportation assets. In this position, you will work closely with multiple departments, including logistics, maintenance, and customer service, to streamline operations and enhance performance. You will be responsible for tracking fleet metrics, scheduling regular maintenance, and implementing strategies to increase operational efficiency. This role demands a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. The success of our supply chain heavily relies on the effective management of our fleet, and your contribution will be crucial in ensuring it operates smoothly and efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee daily operations of the company’s vehicle fleet.
  • Monitor fleet performance to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Schedule and manage regular maintenance of all fleet vehicles.
  • Implement cost-effective measures to enhance fleet management efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle registrations, inspections, and repairs.
  • Analyze fleet data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize transportation routes and schedules.
  • Assist in the development of strategies for fleet expansion or reduction.
  • Ensure timely renewal of vehicle licensing and insurance policies.
  • Respond to and resolve any issues or complaints related to fleet operations.
  • Support driver recruitment, training, and compliance with company standards.
  • Coordinate with vendors for the procurement of fleet-related services and supplies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in fleet management or a similar operational role is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage diverse operations.
  • Proficiency in using fleet management software and relevant technological tools.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills to liaise with teams and drivers.
  • Ability to analyze data and derive insights to support fleet strategies.
