Associate Engineer - ELV

Job Purpose

The purpose is to establish communication systems by installing, operating, and maintaining of structured cabling, CCTV, Wifi, router and Network switch system and equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Install and testing of Structured cabling system, knowledge of UTP and fiber data communication system
• Install and testing of CCTV cameras for analog and IP, Access control system etc.
• Ensure that Camera and CCTV equipment’s installations are of good quality
• Install fixed and Configure WiFi network equipment and set up new telecommunications services
• Install fixed and Basic Configure of network switches, routers and set up the system
• Complete allocated jobs and report the accurate details of the following on a daily basis
• Undertake proof tests such as Cable testing and power tests
• Install and maintain CCTV and other data systems at customers premises
• Install, test and maintain all types of telecommunications, switching and transmission equipment
• Analyse system faults with a high degree of diagnostic skill (to circuit board level)
• Maintain and adhere to operational procedures and complete appropriate documentation
• Develop and maintain good relations with internal and external customers
• Minimise repeated dockets thereby ensuring customer satisfaction and thus avoid customer complaints, fines/black points activities leading into legal cases by customers
  
  

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Higher Secondary or Diploma in Technical field
  
  

Experience

• 3 years of relevant experience
  
  

Knowledge & Skills

• Specialise in the areas of Cat6 cabling, Fiber Optic, CCTV, Access control, Wi-Fi, Network Switches and Routers.
• Should have good trouble shooting skills and enjoy technical and engineering activities and able to perform routine repetitive tasks as well as non-routine or highly analytical tasks.
• Able to show initiative, good with hands movements, normal colour vision, able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Good customer service skills and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Valid UAE driving license (light vehicle) is mandatory
