The role of Associate Director of CFCC is based in the UAE and requires supporting the Chief Compliance Officer in the implementation and maintenance of myZoi regulatory compliance and governance framwork including:

• Supporting the development and maintenance of compliance processes, tools, systems, and frameworks to effectively manage CFCC risks.
  
• Assisting senior management in promoting compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and SC Group standards.
  
• Supporting regulatory engagement activities, including coordinating communications and information requests from regulators.
  
• Assisting with licensing requirements, regulatory examinations, inspections, reporting obligations, and regulatory submissions.
  
• Supporting the assessment and implementation of regulatory changes to ensure timely compliance with new requirements.
  
• Contributing to the delivery of the CFCC strategy, priorities, and initiatives in alignment with myZoi's business objectives.
  
• Assisting in the review and enhancement of compliance policies, procedures, and governance documentation.
  
• Preparing compliance reports, management information, and regulatory updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  
• Coordinating with business and support functions to monitor compliance obligations and track remediation activities.
  

Responsibilities

• Support the business by providing guidance on applicable laws, regulations, policies, and compliance requirements.
  
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of a risk-based CFCC framework, including monitoring and assurance activities.
  
• Support the identification, assessment, and escalation of compliance risks and issues in line with established risk tolerances.
  
• Work with business and functional teams to promote compliance with CFCC requirements and support fair customer outcomes.
  
• Assist with Conduct investigations into suspicious activity and support regulatory reporting processes where required.
  
• Support the assessment of reputational and regulatory risks and the preparation of recommendations for management consideration.
  
• Challenge business stakeholders where activities exceed risk tolerance, escalating as needed. Support and challenge myZoi's businesses and functions to maintain appropriate conduct, comply with CFCC requirements, and achieve fair outcomes for clients.
  
  

• As an independent second-line risk control function, execute the relevant aspects of the Compliance (including Financial Crime and Enterprise) risk framework through robust independent risk control and the provision of specialist advice and constructive challenge in a manner proportionate to the nature, scale and complexity of the Group's business.
  
• Implement and conduct regular CFCC training programs on an ongoing basis to educate staff on the relevant regulatory developments, CFCC policies, and standards.
  
• Assist in setting control standards and advise on developing appropriate controls to mitigate regulatory risks.
  

• Escalate to Chief Compliance Officer compliance and conduct breaches and ensure effective management of issues identified — including comprehensive and timely actions for complete remediation.
  
• Analyse and advise on the holistic impact of complex Regulatory Compliance matters on myZoi's business and operations.
  
• Oversee identification, assessment, management, monitoring, mitigation, and reporting of compliance (including regulatory, conduct, and financial crime) risks.
  
• Contribute to formulating CFCC policies and standards for approval by the relevant governing body (as necessary) under myZoi l s governance framework.
  
• Contribute to developing controls for risk categories where Compliance has been defined as Risk Owner (as set out in the relevant Risk Management Frameworks).
  
• Collaborate with other CFCC teams within the Group and SCV to anticipate horizon risks and support the development of effective strategies to mitigate them, including global standards for business conduct.
  

Governance

• Draft, implement, and maintain CFCC policies, standards, department operating instructions, and process notes.
  
• Promote and embed a culture of openness, trust, risk awareness, and organizational compliance, assisting with implementing and tracking regulatory and financial crime policies and standards.
  
• Manage the remediation process for any CFCC risk issues and breaches.
  
• Support the Chief Compliance Officer and myZoi with horizon scanning, staying updated on regulatory changes and breaches relevant to myZoi's business model.
  
• Design, implement, and manage an effective regulatory change management approach for myZoi in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
  

• Display exemplary conduct and adhere to the Group's Values and Code of Conduct, taking personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, regulatory, and business conduct across myZoi.
  
• Possess a strong understanding of the financial services sector, demonstrating sound judgment on business practices within a digital environment, regulatory frameworks, corporate governance best practices, and CFCC risk management.
  
• Thrive in a creative, fast-paced, agile environment, ensuring fair outcomes for clients and financial crime compliance.
  
• Ability to produce nuanced and robust advice by seeing things from multiple perspectives and fully unpacking problem statements.
