Job Description

Description

Would you like to work on industry-leading quick commerce and real estate projects across one of the fastest-growing regions in Amazon's global logistics network? Work hard, have fun, make history. That's what we do every day at Amazon.

As Associate Corporate Counsel for Quick Commerce & Real Estate, you will be at the forefront of Amazon's rapid expansion of its quick commerce network across the Middle East, North Africa, Turkey and South Africa. You will partner with Amazon's Quick Commerce, Real Estate, Operations and Compliance teams to acquire, lease, build-out, launch and manage sites that power ultra-fast delivery to customers. Alongside this, you will support the broader real estate portfolio — including logistics facilities, delivery infrastructure and operational sites — across the region.

This is a role where speed matters. Quick commerce timelines are compressed, deal structures are non-standard, and the pace of expansion demands a lawyer who thrives under pressure. You'll navigate multiple jurisdictions, legal systems and regulatory environments while directly enabling Amazon's ability to delight customers with ever-faster delivery.

Key job responsibilities

Lead legal support for Amazon's quick commerce site expansion — negotiating and drafting leases and third party services agreements for dark stores, micro-fulfillment sites and ultra-fast delivery hubs across the region.

Manage rapid, high-volume site acquisition pipelines with compressed timelines, non-standard structures and evolving business requirements.

Negotiate and draft broader real estate agreements including leases, build-to-suit agreements, development agreements and purchase contracts for logistics and operational facilities.

Advise on construction and fit-out contracts, project management agreements and enabling works packages.

Support compliance with local real estate, planning and construction regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

Advise on site compliance matters related to operational readiness for new launches.

Manage landlord disputes, lease terminations and enforcement matters, coordinating with local counsel across the region.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quick Commerce, Operations, Finance, Tax, Compliance and Construction to drive projects from site selection through launch.

Coordinate with and manage outside counsel across the region, maintaining oversight of legal strategy, quality and costs.

Identify and mitigate legal risks across the quick commerce and real estate portfolio.

Stay current on relevant real estate laws, regulations and market trends across the region.

Drive continuous improvement in legal processes — developing playbooks, templates and scalable solutions to support rapid network growth.

A day in the life

Each day brings diverse challenges in this fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional role. One morning, you might be negotiating three quick commerce site leases simultaneously across different cities, each with a different landlord, legal system and deadline. By afternoon, you're reviewing a build-to-suit agreement for a new logistics facility, advising on a construction dispute, and jumping on a call with local counsel about a regulatory query in another country. Some days will have you advising senior leadership on compliance escalations or strategic site decisions, while others will find you building out the playbooks and templates that allow the team to scale at pace. Throughout each day, you balance urgent quick commerce deal flow with longer-term strategic real estate work — directly impacting Amazon's rapidly growing operations network.
