The Team

The Associate position will work within the Corporate team in the Dubai office. The practice spans a wide range of sectors including private and growth capital, technology, gaming, innovation, retail, hospitality & leisure, real estate, healthcare and education.

We work with business owners, family offices, UHNWIs and equity investors, as well as private, institutional, government and quasi-government entities in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the U.S.

The Role

This is an exciting and varied role, involving both transactional and advisory work including, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, shareholders agreements, joint ventures, market entry re-organisations and general corporate advisory.

The successful candidate will be committed to developing their career within corporate law within the region and will be able to demonstrate their passion for and experience in this area.

Skills/Experience


  • The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years PQE gained within a leading corporate practice at a law firm of international repute.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritising skills, in order to meet the demands of challenging and commercial internal and external clients, as well as dealing with competing priorities.
  • A broad range of corporate transactional and advisory experience, including M&A and private equity/growth capital ideally in the sectors outlined above.
  • The ability to produce high quality first drafts of transactional and ancillary documents.
  • Project manage effectively.
  • Experience of managing due diligence processes.
  • Existing regional experience is an advantage, but not a pre-requisite.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, both internally and with clients.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively manage own workload.
  • At all times, to exercise high standards of client care and service in a professional and pleasant manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Personable and confident, able to build relationships with colleagues, clients and external organisations.
  • Resilient and calm under pressure.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach.
  • Pro-active and takes initiative.
  • Takes responsibility for and attends to self-development.
  • Interest in undertaking business development activities both internally and externally.
