Assistant HVAC Technician

We are currently seeking a motivated and hands-on Assistant HVAC Technician to support our Facilities Management team within a large-scale airport environment. This role is ideal for candidates looking to grow their technical skills while working alongside experienced technicians.

To assist in carrying out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on HVAC systems, ensuring smooth operations with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities

• Support technicians in planned preventive maintenance (PPM) activities
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems
• Perform routine inspections and basic condition checks
• Help clean and maintain components (filters, coils, drain lines, etc.)
• Assist in reading and understanding basic HVAC drawings
• Support operation and monitoring of systems via BMS (as required)
• Use basic testing tools and equipment under supervision
• Follow all HSE and Permit to Work (PTW) procedures
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition
• Respond to maintenance requests and support emergency tasks

• Air Handling Units (AHU)
• Fan Coil Units (FCU)

• Ventilation Systems

Requirements

• ITI / Diploma in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or related field
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in HVAC maintenance or similar environment
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems and maintenance practices
• Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment
