Job Description

An Assistant Store Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a retail store. This position requires a dynamic individual who can seamlessly manage both people and processes while contributing to the store’s success. The Assistant Store Supervisor supports the Store Manager in overseeing the store operations, including staff management, sales, customer service, and inventory control. By taking ownership of daily activities and motivating a team of retail professionals, the Assistant Store Supervisor ensures customer satisfaction and the store's overall efficiency. This role is vital for maintaining productive workflows, enhancing the shopping experience for customers, and driving sales goals. Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising day-to-day operations of the retail store efficiently.
  • Coordinate and manage store staff, including sales associates and cashiers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability at all times.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and resolve any customer complaints swiftly.
  • Help to prepare and execute store promotional events and strategies.
  • Train new staff members on company policies and customer service procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • Ensure store compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • Maintain an organized and visually appealing store environment for customers.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and improve store efficiency and sales.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Oversee cash handling and ensure security of cash deposits and refunds.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail or customer service in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and staff.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and point of sale (POS) systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
