Job Description

The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a vital role in ensuring that a restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently, providing excellent customer service, and helping to manage all aspects of the dining experience. This position requires a blend of leadership skills, hospitality expertise, and business acumen, as the Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in running daily operations, enhancing guest satisfaction, and driving revenue growth. In this role, you will collaborate with your team to deliver outstanding service, maintain high standards of food quality and safety, and create an inviting atmosphere for guests. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for the hospitality industry, contributing to the restaurant's success through hands-on leadership and strategic planning.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth functionality and service.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and coaching restaurant staff to maintain quality standards.
  • Implement and monitor food safety protocols and health regulations consistently.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared accurately and promptly.
  • Respond to guest feedback and address any issues to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain inventory control by tracking supplies and placing orders when necessary.
  • Manage financial components including budgeting, cost control, and revenue reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to develop and execute marketing initiatives.
  • Supervise the restaurant floor during peak hours to provide leadership presence.
  • Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed by all staff members.
  • Organize and conduct regular team meetings to facilitate effective communication.
  • Support in designing menus and crafting appealing food presentations for promotional events.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and health regulations and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and guests.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
