Job Description

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is an integral part of the management team, responsible for supporting the Restaurant Manager in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the establishment. The role involves supervising staff, maintaining high-quality customer service, and overseeing financial procedures. The Assistant Restaurant Manager is also instrumental in supporting the strategic vision of the restaurant, helping to implement policies that uphold the values and reputation of the business. Moreover, this position requires a proactive approach in problem-solving and handling customer queries or complaints efficiently to ensure satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations and management tasks.
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service to all patrons consistently.
  • Supervise and manage restaurant staff, providing support and corrective feedback.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure food quality and timely preparation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate orders to maintain sufficient stock.
  • Support the training and development of new hires to align with restaurant standards.
  • Handle customer complaints effectively and provide solutions promptly.
  • Implement health and safety regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts and promotional activities to boost sales.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitary regulations and laws.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including daily sales and expenses reports.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss updates and gather staff feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate staff.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude toward challenges.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and aptitude for addressing customer needs.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management and cost control processes.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
