Job Description

The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and management of a restaurant. As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be working closely with the Restaurant Manager to manage daily operations, provide excellent customer service, and support staff development. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in planning and overseeing daily restaurant operations.
  • Lead training sessions for new staff members to ensure competence and confidence.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely restocking.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations and protocols.
  • Handle customer complaints and provide solutions to ensure satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates and team objectives.
  • Analyze and report on sales figures to identify areas of improvement.
  • Supervise the proper maintenance and functionality of restaurant equipment.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to improve menu items and product offerings.
  • Implement marketing strategies to attract more customers and retain loyalty.
  • Prepare and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
  • Assist with financial auditing tasks and budget management as needed.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer service excellence.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards is essential.
  • Possess a degree or certification in Hospitality Management or a related field.
