Job Description

The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant. Responsibilities

  • Assist the general manager in planning and implementing restaurant operations.
  • Supervise restaurant staff, ensuring high levels of performance and efficiency.
  • Create and manage staff schedules, optimizing productivity and minimizing costs.
  • Ensure that all health and safety standards and regulations are adhered to.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure availability.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly to maintain guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Oversee cash handling and accounting procedures to ensure accurate transactions.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen and dining areas for cleanliness.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and developing new and existing staff members.
  • Work closely with the general manager to achieve restaurant financial targets.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and precise order fulfillment.
  • Develop promotions and strategies to increase restaurant foot traffic and sales.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an assistant manager in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle pressure well.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software and point of sale systems.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills required.
