Job Description

The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of a restaurant. Working closely with the General Manager, the Assistant Restaurant Manager helps in driving sales and achieving profitability. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations and activities.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and address any issues promptly.
  • Organize and schedule shifts for restaurant staff, covering all positions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of restaurant supplies.
  • Support staff training and development to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Uphold restaurant policies and procedures to maintain smooth operations.
  • Analyze financial reports and assist in budget planning and control measures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for both guests and staff.
  • Help in promoting special events and initiatives to attract more patrons.
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Evaluate customer feedback to improve service quality and overall experience.
  • Participate in marketing efforts to increase restaurant visibility and customer base.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and capability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant management software and POS systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills to interact with staff and customers effectively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to the hospitality industry.
