Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Measure and record patients’ vital signs like temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
• Help transport patients to different departments for tests and treatments.
• Ensure that patient rooms and common areas are clean and organized.
• Assist in maintaining patient records and updating them regularly as needed.
• Help the nursing team in the preparation and delivery of patient treatments.
• Monitor patients for changes in status and report to the nursing staff promptly.
• Assist registered nurses with medical procedures and treatment protocols.
• Administer medications under the supervision and direction of registered nurses.
• Maintain open communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Adhere to all healthcare regulations, safety standards, and facility policies.

Requirements

• Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) or similar program is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills suitable for patient interaction.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor, attentive to the needs of patients.
• Ability to work well under supervision as well as independently when required.
• Physical stamina and strength to assist with patient lifting and moving.
• Basic computer skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.
• Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
