Job Description
We are looking for a patient and compassionate nursing assistant OPD to help patients in our healthcare facility. The nursing assistant is responsible for bathing, feeding, and dressing patients.
To be successful as a nursing assistant you must be passionate about providing the highest quality of care to all patients. Ultimately, a good nursing assistant is able to maintain patients' dignity and privacy at all times.
Duties of An Assistant Nurse OPD
- Demonstrate on understanding & utilization of evidence-based health care.
- Performs nursing care for patient who visit outpatient department in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of health care errors.
- Must have excellent observation skills, able to think critically and to make quick and effective decisions.
- Able to function efficiently in patients care within the assigned clinic and relieve other nursing units in the hospital if necessary.
- Complete safety of patients in the assigned clinic.
- Accurately monitor & record patient’s condition as per current standards and policies.
- Ensures investigation reports are available for consultation if applicable.
- Perform assessment and reassessments on patient as per assessment policy.
- Perform patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient’s age.
- Report any abnormality in patient’s condition immediately to the medical staff and escalate as and when required.
- Assist physician with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
- Communication of information to patients and their relatives.
- Educates the patient and family regarding the disease, diet, pain management, rehabilitation etc. and according to the identified individual need, provide educational materials if available.
- Ability to identify medical complications, emergencies and take the appropriate action immediately and to assist emergency management of patient in the unit as required.
Qualification & Experience
Diploma in Nursing.
Certification & Licensure
Active BLS, fire & safety training and infection control training.
Valid MOH license.
