Job Description

An Assistant Nurse in the OPD Ob Gyne department plays a crucial role in providing quality healthcare services to patients. Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians with medical procedures and patient examinations in the OPD.

  • Administer treatments as directed by the healthcare provider under supervision.
  • Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions to the supervising nurse.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, ensuring all equipment is sterilized.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-visit care plans.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Manage appointment schedules and assist with patient flow in the department.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Supply examination rooms with necessary medical equipment and supplies.
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance nursing skills.

Requirements

  • Valid nursing license with specialized training or experience in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Minimum of two years nursing experience, preferably in OPD or women's health.
  • Strong communication skills, with fluency in English; additional languages a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.
  • High level of empathy, confidentiality, and integrity in patient interactions.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical records and healthcare management software.
