Responsibilities

• Assist registered nurses and doctors with routine medical procedures and tasks.
• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Help patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating meals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in patient rooms and common areas.
• Transport patients to various areas within the healthcare facility as needed.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
• Ensure that medical supplies and equipment are stocked and functional.
• Communicate patient needs, conditions, and progress to the healthcare team.
• Follow established protocols and guidelines for infection control and hygiene.
• Participate in patient care planning sessions and contribute to care strategies.
• Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers within the facility.
• Document all nursing care services accurately and timely into patient records.

Requirements

• Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) program or equivalent training.
• Current certification or licensure as an Assistant Nurse in relevant jurisdiction.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required for emergency situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and staff.
• Ability to work under supervision while also taking initiative as needed.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift or help move patients safely.
• Attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and observation skills.
