Job Description

As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in supporting the merchandising team to maximize the sales and profitability of our product ranges. You will assist in planning and monitoring sales performance, manage stock levels, and provide vital administrative support within the department. This involves working closely with suppliers and other departments to ensure all products are delivered on time and in line with demand. This role requires a strong analytical mindset to interpret sales data and forecast future trends. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude are essential to succeed in this fast-paced retail environment.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of merchandising strategies and plans.
  • Analyze sales figures and market trends to create actionable merchandising goals.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely product delivery and stock availability.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels to facilitate effective stock management.
  • Provide administrative support to the merchandising team including data entry tasks.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports on merchandising performance.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to align merchandising initiatives with promotional activities.
  • Support the management of product assortments and monitor category performances.
  • Contribute to the analysis and interpretation of consumer feedback to improve product lines.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of store layouts and visual merchandising.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on merchandising objectives.
  • Assist in pricing strategy development to optimize profit margins and sales turnover.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or retail environment is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A high degree of organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple priorities.
