The Assistant Manager - Sales plays a pivotal role in driving sales performance within an organization. This position requires a dynamic, innovative, and results-oriented individual who can generate sales growth and support the senior management team. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. In this role, you will apply strategic thinking and customer relationship management skills to secure new business opportunities, retain existing clients, and achieve sales targets. A successful applicant will have excellent leadership and communication skills, combined with a strong analytical mindset to interpret sales data and forecast trends that inform the company's sales strategy.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the sales manager in executing and developing strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Supervise and support the sales team to meet and exceed performance metrics.
  • Conduct regular sales training sessions to enhance team capabilities and performance.
  • Analyze market trends for insights on customer preferences and competitor strategies.
  • Maintain and expand the company's database of prospective customers.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
  • Prepare detailed reports on sales performance and market analysis for senior management.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment in achieving overall business objectives.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key business clients.
  • Support the sales team with lead generation and tracking of sales opportunities.
  • Participate in sales meetings and provide updates or suggestions for operational improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven work experience in a sales position, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills to manage teams effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships through effective communication.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and ability to manage sales pipelines proficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Outstanding negotiation skills with a track record of successful deal closures.
  • Knowledge of market research, sales strategies, and competitive analysis techniques.
  • Available to work flexible hours and travel as needed to meet with clients or attend events.
