About the Job 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Assistant Manager - Front Office to join Jumeirah Living Marina Gate.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include: 

  • Oversee daily guest arrival preparations, including VIP room readiness, amenities, and special requests to ensure a seamless arrival experience
  • Supervise Guest Services Executives and Guest Relations colleagues, providing coaching and support to uphold exceptional service standards.
  • Personally greet VIP and suite guests upon arrival, offering warm and professional assistance tailored to their preferences.
  • Handle and resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring issues are addressed to maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Engage regularly with in-house guests to gather feedback, promote services, and encourage completion of guest satisfaction surveys.
  • Coordinate guest events such as welcome cocktails, ensuring smooth communication with other departments for flawless execution.

 

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in front office or customer-facing operations within hospitality, retail, or service-oriented industries, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience across hospitality, retail, or corporate service environments).
  • Strong technical and soft skills, including proficiency in front office systems (OPERA Cloud), reservations handling, guest relations, problem-solving, communication, and the ability to manage service recovery while maintaining high guest satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train, coach, and motivate diverse teams while ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to service and brand standards.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional language skills such as Arabic, Russian, French, or German are highly preferred to support a diverse customer base.
