Job Purpose

The role holder is responsible for assisting the FIU Manager in investigating cases received from regulators (FIU, CBUAE, Law Enforcement) and conduct in depth investigation and take necessary actions as and when needed.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Support the FIU Manager with investigations of regulatory and law enforcement cases
  • Conduct detailed AML/CFT investigations on assigned cases
  • Engage with regulatory and investigating bodies to provide evidence & take action where necessary
  • Review transactions and customer activity to identify suspicious behaviour
  • Prepare investigation findings and support regulatory & internal responses
  • Review regulations and ensure compliance with internal SOP
  • Conduct in-depth investigation and prepare EDD reports to submit to the regulators.
  • Prepare MI and reports as and when needed
  • Adherence to Maker/Checker activity in IEMS, CIR, GoAML & Various other Forms of communications with regulatory bodies
  • Maintain and update MIS
  • Manage the GoAML message board, take next course of action based on the request and respond to the RFI within the TAT
  • Document and complete the process as per the Bank’s internal procedures to report STRs to the UAE Central Banks FIU once the decision has been taken by DMLRO or MLRO
  • Conduct Gap assessment to new regulations and polices as and when needed
  • Prepare and respond to internal QA, Audit as well as external examination as and when required

Requirements:

Experience And Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an AML/CFT role or equivalent.
  • Bachelors Degree as a minimum from a recognized university.
  • Must have a background in investigations and a good understanding of AML/CTF and Financial Crime.
  • Well versed with banking systems, concepts, banking best practices
  • Certification in investigations or similar work.
