As an Assistant Manager – Accounts Receivable, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial stability of our organization by managing the inflow of funds owed to the company. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the accounts receivable department, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the accounts receivable process.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the team to discuss and resolve issues related to overdue accounts.
  • Analyze credit reports and financial statements to review customers' accounts for credit worthiness.
  • Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to address client queries and payment issues.
  • Track key metrics around accounts receivable, including DSO and bad debt ratio, for performance monitoring.
  • Prepare detailed accounts receivable reports for senior management and finance directors.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members to improve skills and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company standards in accounting practices.
  • Negotiate payment plans and settlements with clients facing financial difficulties.
  • Manage the reconciliation of accounts and ensure all discrepancies are quickly resolved.
  • Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits to provide accurate data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable management.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in team management and development.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for interaction with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
