Job Description

As the Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient running of our maintenance operations. You will assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing routine maintenance tasks, managing staff, and ensuring that all equipment and facilities are operating optimally. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong understanding of building systems and maintenance procedures. You will be expected to lead by example, ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance are stringently adhered to while maintaining a harmonious and productive work environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and coordinating all maintenance activities and initiatives.
  • Supervise the maintenance staff and ensure their training and development needs are met.
  • Ensure all facility equipment is optimally functioning and regularly serviced.
  • Implement and enforce safety and compliance protocols within the maintenance department.
  • Track and monitor maintenance expenses and prepare budget reports as required.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for outsourced maintenance services.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of all maintenance activities and inspections.
  • Assist in developing and scheduling preventive maintenance programs routinely.
  • Facilitate communication between management and the maintenance team effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and diagnose potential maintenance issues.
  • Develop action plans to improve efficiency and reliability of the maintenance operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in maintenance or facilities management.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance processes, equipment, and building systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail and safety protocols.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with team members and management.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and maintenance management systems.
