The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the housekeeping department in ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction across hotel rooms, public areas, and facilities. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, managing inventory, and coordinating cleaning schedules while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses strong leadership skills.
Assist in managing daily housekeeping operations and staff assignments.
Monitor room cleaning schedules and ensure timely turnovers.
Conduct routine inspections to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Train and supervise housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
Handle guest requests, complaints, and special cleaning requirements.
Maintain housekeeping inventory, including linens, cleaning supplies, and equipment.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Implement cost-effective cleaning solutions and sustainability initiatives.
Monitor staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.
Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Office and hotel management software.
High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
