An Assistant Front Office Manager assists in supervising the Front Office Team to ensure that Team Members are prepared and well-informed to deliver Guests an exceptional experience from check-in through check-out.
Responsibilities
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Operations Management: Assist the Front Office Manager in overseeing the daily Front Office operations, ensuring compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.
- Guest Services: Manage guest service activities, including reservations, registration, room allocation, room inventory, check-in, check-out, and the prompt resolution of guest inquiries and concerns to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Guest Satisfaction & VIP Relations: Monitor guest satisfaction levels and feedback, implement service improvements, and ensure regular and VIP guests receive personalized and memorable experiences.
- Revenue Optimization: Maximize room occupancy and revenue through effective inventory management, upselling initiatives, and promotion of hotel services, facilities, and loyalty programs.
- Team Development & Administration: Support departmental operations through effective planning, recruitment, training, and team development.
- Workforce Planning: Monitor staffing levels and schedules to ensure adequate coverage in line with business demands.
- Systems & Compliance: Ensure the proper use of front office equipment and property management systems while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with established procedures.

The Following Capabilities And Qualifications Would Be Advantageous
- Previous supervisory experience within a Front Office environment, preferably in the hospitality, hotel, leisure, or retail sector.
- Strong proficiency in hotel systems, property management systems (PMS), and Microsoft Office applications.
- Commercially focused with the ability to identify revenue opportunities and support sales initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Strong sense of accountability, professionalism, and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional guest service and enhancing the overall guest experience.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and service standards.
- Well-groomed and professional appearance, reflecting the hotel's brand standards.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing operational requirements and business needs.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
