Job Description

As an Assistant Front Office Manager, your role is pivotal within the hospitality industry, ensuring the smooth functioning of front desk operations while providing a superior guest experience. You will work closely with the Front Office Manager to maintain a welcoming atmosphere in the hotel lobby, manage team dynamics, and ensure that guest inquiries and issues are handled effectively and professionally. Your proficiency in multitasking and your ability to lead and inspire a team will be crucial in upholding the high standards of customer service expected in a competitive hospitality environment. You will also play a role in strategic planning and implementation, contributing to the overall success of the establishment.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily front desk operations effectively.
  • Develop and implement guest service policies to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate staff schedules and monitor team performance and productivity.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints quickly and effectively to maintain satisfaction.
  • Supervise the training and development of front desk personnel to improve service delivery.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage the check-in and check-out processes to ensure efficiency and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance guest experiences and streamline operations.
  • Prepare operational reports for management review, detailing key performance metrics.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the front office department.
  • Monitor guest feedback and utilize insights to improve services and hotel amenities.
  • Ensure front desk team adheres to health and safety guidelines and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or related field preferred for this role.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a hotel front office position.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills are essential for success.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities in a diverse environment.
  • Proficient in hotel management software and other related computer systems.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
