Job Description

The role of Assistant Front Office Manager plays a critical part in the hospitality sector, ensuring that guests receive the highest standard of service from the moment they enter the building. Working closely with the Front Office Manager, the assistant manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the front desk. This position requires a strong leader who can efficiently manage a team, handle guest inquiries and concerns with poise, and maintain a seamless workflow within the front office. Candidates should possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ensuring guest satisfaction and operational efficiency is paramount to succeed in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the Front Office Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the front desk.
  • Supervise and train front desk staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and requests in a polite and effective manner.
  • Ensure all front office procedures align with the company standards and policies.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to communicate updates and address any issues.
  • Manage guest check-in and check-out processes to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams for guest room readiness.
  • Monitor and manage the reservation system to maximize occupancy rates.
  • Assist in handling and resolving guest complaints and issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and daily reports.
  • Implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and feedback scores.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of new front office staff members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years experience in a hotel front office environment.
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills crucial for guest interaction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate guest needs.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
