The Assistant Front Office Manager plays a crucial role in the hospitality industry, serving as a liaison between guests and staff, and ensuring smooth operations within the front office department. This role requires an individual with strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to customer service excellence. The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the Front Office Manager by overseeing daily operations, providing training and guidance to front desk staff, and addressing guest inquiries and concerns to ensure a positive experience. This position requires someone who is highly organized and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment to enhance guest satisfaction and support the hotel's reputation for excellence.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the Front Office Manager in managing daily operations at the front desk.
  • Supervise and support front office staff in delivering excellent customer service.
  • Ensure efficient check-in and check-out processes to enhance guest experience.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date guest records and reservation details.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest requests and preferences.
  • Assist in training new front desk employees to meet company standards.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback for improvement and development.
  • Conduct regular audits of front office processes to ensure compliance with policies.
  • Prepare reports and manage budgets related to front office operations.
  • Implement strategies to enhance guest loyalty and retention at the hotel.
  • Oversee scheduling and ensure adequate staffing levels for shifts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory front office role.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and basic computer applications.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities with guests and staff.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and handle challenging situations effectively.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus, to better serve diverse clienteles.
