Assistant Finance Manager

This position sits within a well-established government-backed organisation in Dubai operating across large-scale infrastructure and logistics projects. The corporate finance team combines the stability of a public-sector entity with a commercial, private-sector mindset. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Assistant FP&A Manager is a highly visible individual contributor role offering significant exposure to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and monthly variance analysis to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
• Develop executive dashboards and management reports that integrate financial and operational KPIs.
• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, cost drivers, and commercial opportunities.
• Design and automate reporting solutions using Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX, and advanced Excel.
• Partner with finance and project teams to ensure consistency between management reporting and underlying accounting data.
• Contribute to finance transformation initiatives by improving reporting processes, automation, and business intelligence capabilities.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or management reporting.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CMA, or CIMA is highly preferred.
• Advanced, hands-on expertise in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot, and DAX is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience managing and analysing large datasets and building interactive dashboards.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Prior experience within a large corporate or multinational organisation is preferred.
• A Big 4 background is considered an advantage.
• Ability to work autonomously, with a proactive approach and strong comfort with data tools.
