Job Description

The Assistant Finance Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the financial department by managing daily finance operations and ensuring fiscal health. This role serves as a bridge between the finance team and higher management, helping to guide financial planning and strategy. The Assistant Finance Manager is expected to contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and various financial analyses, ensuring financial data integrity and compliance with regulations. They are instrumental in optimizing financial processes and providing insights into financial performance, which are key to decision-making. Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing financial strategies and plans.
  • Oversee daily financial operations including accounting and transactions.
  • Support the preparation and review of budgets and forecasts.
  • Conduct financial analysis to assist management in strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance and suggest improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors during audits.
  • Prepare financial reports, summaries, and presentations for senior management.
  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial institutions.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Assist in managing financial risks associated with various business operations.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior finance staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a financial management role.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills essential for this role.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting financial information clearly.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications is essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and lead financial projects.
