Job Description

The Assistant Finance Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of an organization. They work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure that all financial practices align with statutory regulations and meet business objectives. This position requires analytical skills and attention to detail to monitor financial performance and report variances. The Assistant Finance Manager also contributes to the development of financial strategies, assists with budgeting, and helps maintain the financial health of the organization. This role is integral for maintaining financial control, optimizing costs, and improving profitability. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to support overall financial goals.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
  • Support financial planning and analysis activities to achieve business and financial goals.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes for timely and accurate completion.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify and explain variances from budgets.
  • Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary information during audits or reviews.
  • Review financial data for accuracy and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Assist in developing financial strategies to support long-term business objectives.
  • Coordinate with various departments to gather financial information for reports and plans.
  • Monitor the financial performance of the organization and recommend improvements.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to enhance profitability.
  • Ensure effective cash flow management and assist in managing credit lines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for financial reporting.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
