Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theater, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.
About The Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking an Assistant Director to join the resort’s Stewarding team.
Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Schedule and conduct daily kitchen inspections to monitor conformance to health and fire department regulations
Arrange and oversee maintenance of all banquet equipment, both stationery and portable
Maintain inventory control and order equipment and supplies to support the Catering and Culinary Departments, within budget
Assist outlet chefs with setup and teardown
Assist in recruiting new staff members
Conduct training in the correct use, handling and storage of cleaning chemicals
Schedule rosters and match manpower to business demands
Interact with Department and Company Team Members, management, and contractors professionally and positively
Encourage good relationships, promote team spirit, and ensure effective two-way and multicultural communications
Adhere to the Company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct
Support the development and implementation of stewardship strategies across all F&B outlets to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting of stewarding operations, including manpower, equipment, and supplies.
Identify and source equipment for presentation to leaders and ensure compliance with the procurement process.
Collaborate with F&B leaders to align cleaning and hygiene strategies with business goals
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of experience in stewarding within multi-outlet or chain F&B environments, including 5 years in a leadership role.
Requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience in hotel
Knowledge of correct use, handling and storage of cleaning chemicals
Strong understanding of F&B Operations, cleaning chemicals, kitchens and service equipment Strong background in culinary education, training program design, and talent development.
Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high-pressure work environment
