Your day to day
The Assistant Director of Sales – Corporate is responsible for assisting the Director of Sales in leading and managing the corporate sales segment of the business. The role focuses on developing and implementing sales strategies, maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, and achieving revenue targets. This position plays a key role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, expanding market share, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
Sales & Business Development
- Support the Director of Sales in developing and executing sales strategies for the corporate market.
- Identify, target, and secure new corporate accounts to achieve business objectives.
- Manage and grow existing corporate client relationships through regular meetings, negotiations, and account management.
- Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets, revenue goals, and market share objectives.
- Participate in sales calls, trade shows, networking events, and promotional activities to generate leads.
Team & Leadership
- Supervise and guide Sales Executives in the corporate segment, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.
- Assist in creating a high-performing, motivated sales culture focused on results and guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Revenue, Reservations, and Operations to align sales initiatives with overall business strategy.
Planning & Reporting
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and business performance to identify opportunities and risks.
- Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for the Director of Sales and senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities in CRM systems.
Customer Relationship Management
- Ensure timely and professional handling of client requests, inquiries, and contract negotiations.
- Foster long-term partnerships with key accounts by delivering exceptional service.
- Conduct regular client reviews and account planning to maximize revenue potential.
What We Need From You
Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field, four or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a sales team. Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required.
