About The Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking an Assistant Director – Crisis Management to join the resort’s Security team.
Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Lead the design, implementation, governance, and continual improvement of WAMI’s Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) aligned to ISO 22301, Wynn standards, and UAE regulatory requirements.
Establish BCMS scope, roles, objectives, management review cadence, and assurance metrics to ensure sustained resilience and compliance.
Lead Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and supporting risk assessments to define critical activities, dependencies, RTOs, RPOs, MTPDs, and recovery priorities.
Develop, maintain, and assure executable Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), recovery strategies, and an exercising, audit, and continual improvement program.
Own and manage WAMI’s Crisis Management & Response framework, ensuring readiness, consistency, and integration with BCMS outputs.
Lead the development and maintenance of crisis plans, procedures, standards, playbooks, and decision ‑ support tools.
Own hazard, threat, and risk monitoring, producing timely impact assessments, executive notifications, and strategic intelligence.
Act as the primary lead for crisis activation, establishing Crisis Management Team (CMT) structures, coordination mechanisms, and leading CMT meetings.
Exercise independent judgment and delegated authority during incidents and crises, coordinating response with internal stakeholders, emergency services, regulators, and external partners.
Lead, coach, and develop BCM/CMR personnel; drive benchmarking and maturity improvements; and support budgets, manpower planning, and capability procurement.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business continuity, emergency/crisis management, risk management, security, or a related field; Master’s degree in a relevant field or an internationally recognized Crisis/BCM certification.
Professional certifications preferred, including Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP – DRI International), Member/Associate Member of the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI/AMBCI), and/or Lead Auditor.
Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience in both Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management, preferably in a regulated, large-scale, or pre ‑ opening environment.
Proven experience engaging and coordinating with government authorities, emergency services, and regulators.
Prior professional experience in the GCC region is mandatory.
Deep working knowledge of ISO 22301 and BCM good practice (BCI Good Practice Guidelines or equivalent).
Proven experience leading crisis activations, establishing crisis governance structures, coordinating multi ‑ stakeholder response, and supporting executive decision ‑ making under pressure.
