Job Description

The Assistant Design Architect plays a crucial role in supporting the design team by contributing creative ideas, technical solutions, and detail-oriented plans in architectural projects. Working closely with senior architects, this position requires involvement in all phases of design from conceptualization to implementation. The ideal candidate will be passionate about architecture and eager to grow in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, supporting the development and execution of innovative design solutions. A strong understanding of design principles and a keen eye for detail are essential, as is the ability to translate client needs into functional and aesthetically pleasing building designs. Additionally, the Assistant Design Architect should be proficient in using architectural software and possess excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients throughout the design process. Responsibilities

  • Assist senior architects in the creation of architectural designs and models.
  • Develop clear and concise architectural drawings and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with engineers and other specialists to integrate technical requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project progress.
  • Research and compile data for project requirements and client presentations.
  • Utilize architectural software to produce 3D models and visualizations.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and design presentations.
  • Review and edit architectural drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Stay updated with architectural trends, technology, and regulations to enhance design quality.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to gather project specifications.
  • Support the project team in problem-solving and project scheduling activities.
  • Maintain organized project files and ensure documentation is accurately recorded.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field is required.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design principles and building codes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Prior experience in architectural design or internship experience is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
