The Assistant Credit Manager plays a vital role in supporting the overall credit management process within a financial institution or organization. This role primarily involves assisting the Credit Manager in assessing the creditworthiness of potential clients, maintaining accurate credit records, and monitoring credit exposure to mitigate risk. The Assistant Credit Manager works closely with various departments to ensure the smooth functioning of the credit process, from evaluation to approval, and manages the relationship with clients to provide tailored financial solutions. This position requires a keen understanding of financial analysis, superior communication skills, and the ability to make informed credit decisions in a dynamic business environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist in evaluating and assessing the creditworthiness of potential clients.
  • Monitor existing clients' credit exposure to mitigate financial risk.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date credit records and reports.
  • Support the Credit Manager in developing and implementing credit policies.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure timely and accurate credit reviews.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support credit decision-making processes.
  • Review and recommend changes to improve the credit approval process.
  • Handle inquiries related to client credit and provide relevant information.
  • Assist in negotiating credit terms and agreements with clients.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize the overall credit process.
  • Assist in managing the portfolio of client accounts effectively and efficiently.
  • Provide support to the Credit Manager in special projects and initiatives.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in credit management or analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and numeric accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for financial data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with financial institutions' regulations and compliance standards.
