Job Description

The Assistant Commercial Manager is a pivotal role within our organization, primarily focused on supporting the commercial team in the execution and management of all commercial activities. This position involves working closely with project managers, procurement, and financial teams to ensure that commercial strategies align with business goals. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of commercial strategies and objectives.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend actions for improvement.
  • Support contract negotiations and ensure timely completion of contracts.
  • Manage the maintenance of accurate cost reports and project forecasts.
  • Coordinate with project teams to monitor and report on project progress.
  • Conduct market analysis to understand competitor trends and impacts.
  • Prepare detailed financial models to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure all project documentation meets regulatory and company requirements.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to optimize sourcing strategies.
  • Assist in resolving any contractual disputes or issues that may arise.
  • Facilitate training and mentorship for junior commercial staff members.
  • Report regularly on commercial metrics and key performance indicators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a commercial or financial management role.
  • Strong analytical skills with detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in using financial and project management software applications.
  • Solid understanding of commercial contract law and industry regulations.
  • Experience with report generation and presentation to senior management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes.
