Assistant coach

Due to a restructure focused around enhancing the quality of our coaching programme, Hamilton Aquatics is looking for a number of motivated and committed Assistant Coaches to support the delivery of the Performance Swimming in Hamilton Aquatics. The roles focus on providing high-quality coaching and operational support, assisting the Director of Swimming and squad coaching team to ensure the effective development of swimmers within the programme. It will be highly beneficial if one of these coaches has an S&C background.

Key Objectives

Coaching

• To provide quality coaching to swimmers.
• Assist squad sessions with high energy and good coaching input.
• Delivery of school swimming and school squad training sessions as required.
• Deliver land conditioning sessions when required.
• Attend at competitions as required by the coaching team.
• Talent identification of swimmers into and through Hamilton Aquatics.
• Regular and video analysis of swimmers, with feedback given to swimmers.
• Attend weekly coaches meetings.
• Attend any required swimmer or parent progress meetings.
  
  
  

• Carry out all H&S procedures prior to starting sessions.
• Keep relevant H&S documents up to date.
• Deal with squad enquiries, bookings and payments within relevant squads.
• Keep track of swimmer monitoring and any relevant analysis.
• Administration support with competition entries and communications.
• Complete all administration tasks required for the smooth running of the squads that are directed from the Director of Swimming or relevant coaches.
  
  
  

• Attendance at meetings and company events as required.
• Continually improve knowledge and develop as a coach.
• Attend staff training and CPD sessions and keep knowledge up to date.
