Job Description

An Assistant Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and organizational policies. This position involves working closely with the accounting team to support financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and reports.

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all accounting activities.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow for daily operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end audits and collaborate with external auditors.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to financial and accounting matters.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Contribute to improving accounting processes and implementing financial controls.
  • Assist in the development and training of junior accounting staff as needed.
  • Utilize accounting software to manage and document financial transactions efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations is necessary.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are needed.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
