Job Description

The Assembly and Test Technician plays a crucial role in the manufacturing and production process of technological components and products. This position is responsible for assembling and testing various assemblies and subassemblies, following precise engineering instructions and specifications. As a key player in the production team, the technician ensures that all products meet stringent quality standards and performance criteria before they are released to the market. Additionally, this role involves troubleshooting and diagnosing any issues that arise during the assembly process to ensure efficient and effective production cycles. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, proven technical abilities, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.


Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex assemblies and subassemblies according to engineering specifications and diagrams.
  • Perform functional tests on assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve assembly and testing issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, inspections, and test results.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to improve assembly and testing processes and procedures.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are calibrated and in proper working order.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance production quality and efficiency.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplished related tasks as needed and directed.
  • Assist in training new team members on assembly and testing procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and tools.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement defect reduction solutions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in assembly or testing roles.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret engineering documents and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a production setting.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and protocols in a manufacturing environment.
