Job Description

The Assembly and Test Technician is tasked with the critical role of ensuring that our products meet both functional and quality standards before they reach the market. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and the ability to follow complex instructions. As an Assembly and Test Technician, you will assemble various mechanical components, conduct thorough testing, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the assembly process. Your work will be central to maintaining the high standards and reliability that our customers expect. You will work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure products are assembled according to specifications and that they perform optimally under intended conditions. A keen eye for detail, a systematic approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet industry standards and specifications.
  • Conduct functional tests to verify the performance of assembled products.
  • Identify and resolve any assembly or testing issues that may arise.
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Document assembly processes and testing results accurately in compliance with protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering teams to improve product designs and assembly methods.
  • Adhere to company and industry safety standards during all work activities.
  • Calibrate tools and testing equipment regularly to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for process and product improvements.
  • Ensure all assembled products are properly labeled and packaged for shipping.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience as an assembly or test technician in a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical components and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail for precision work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot hardware issues.
  • Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
