AS400 Architect

Experience Required: 10+ years in AS400/iSeries environment with strong expertise in RPG and DB2

About The Role

We are seeking a seasoned AS400 Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in AS400 systems, RPG programming, and DB2 database management, along with strong leadership skills to guide teams and ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design enterprise solutions on AS400/iSeries platforms.
• Lead development teams in RPG (RPGLE, CL, COBOL) and DB2 database design.
• Define system architecture, integration strategies, and performance optimization.
• Ensure compliance with security, scalability, and reliability standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams.
• Oversee migration, modernization, and performance tuning initiatives.
• Document architecture frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  
  

• Strong expertise in AS400/iSeries systems.
• Advanced proficiency in RPG (RPGLE, CL, COBOL) programming.
• Hands-on experience with DB2 database design, optimization, and administration.
• Knowledge of system integration, middleware, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in AS400/iSeries development and architecture.
• Proven track record of leading enterprise-scale projects in AS400 environments.
• Experience in UAE or GCC region preferred.
