Area Sales Manager – UAE & Oman
Based in Dubai | HVAC Cooling | SPX Technologies
SPX Cooling is expanding its footprint across the UAE and Oman, and we are seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead growth across these key markets. This is a newly created role designed to strengthen our regional presence, deepen customer engagement, and expand our specifications with consultants and end users.
Covering two dynamic territories, you will be based in Dubai and spend time with representatives, customers, and consultants—whether in their offices or on site. Some areas operate without reps, so you will lead direct sales activity where required. Around 90% of the work is driven through established relationships and specifications, supported by a strong brand reputation. Many of our customers are from the Indian business community, and the region includes both private and public sectors. Alongside traditional HVAC markets, we are developing our presence in commercial relocation and beginning to move into the fast-growing data centre segment.
A solid HVAC background and experience with high-value engineered solutions is essential.
Your Impact
You will be responsible for advancing our presence in the UAE and Oman by developing relationships with consultants, contractors, reps, and end users. Your work will directly influence project specifications, grow the pipeline, and ensure SPX products are positioned as the preferred choice for water-cooled chiller applications across commercial sectors such as hotels, offices, and multi-purpose facilities.
What You Will Do
• Develop and manage relationships with reps, consultants, contractors, and end users
• Grow specifications for SPX products and actively promote our solutions in the marketplace
• Visit customers and consultants regularly across the region
• Lead direct sales activity in territories where we do not have reps
• Provide pricing, technical support, and clear guidance on engineered cooling solutions
• Identify and support opportunities in emerging sectors, including data centres and commercial relocation
• Deliver presentations, conduct lunch-and-learn sessions, and engage in market education
• Evaluate RFQs and develop tailored solutions, including support on non-standard projects
• Ensure technical scope accuracy and communicate special requirements to engineering
• Support commercial term reviews in coordination with internal teams
• Forecast upcoming projects, contribute to regional sales meetings, and support cross-territory collaboration
• Work in partnership with Service Sales to identify opportunities for maintenance contracts and parts
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical background
• Proven sales success within the Gulf HVAC market, especially in the UAE
• 3–5 years of experience delivering technical cooling solutions in the Middle East
• Strong network across consultants, contractors, and end users
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to travel across the region (up to 50%)
• Strong planning, organisation, and presentation abilities
• Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-value engineered solutions
