Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team in the retail sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and overseeing operations in their assigned territory. The Area Sales Manager will work closely with retail partners and internal teams to develop and implement strategies that increase market share and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strategic thinker who is results-oriented and capable of leading a sales team to achieve ambitious targets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a strong ability to analyze market trends and customer needs.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve territorial sales targets.
  • Manage and lead a team of sales representatives to maximize performance.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key retail partners and stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
  • Provide regular sales performance reports and forecast updates to management.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional initiatives and strategies.
  • Ensure optimal merchandising and product placement in retail outlets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory.
  • Implement training programs to improve sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Monitor expenses and manage budget to maximize profitability.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network and represent the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a sales role within retail.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets consistently.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends effectively.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software applications.
