As an Application Specialist, you will help dairy and cheese customers across KSA and the Middle East successfully implement Novonesis solutions through hands-on technical expertise, industrial trials, and customer support. You will join a collaborative technical team supporting customers and application activities and work closely with both internal colleagues and external customers.

The role & your impact

This is a hands-on role focused primarily on execution and optimization. You will combine dairy application expertise with customer-facing technical support, helping customers implement cultures, enzymes, and application solutions while improving product quality, yield, texture, functionality, and process efficiency.

The position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and supports customers across KSA and other Middle East markets.

Your key responsibilities in this role

• Provide technical customer support primarily for cheese and fermented dairy applications across KSA and other Middle East markets.
• Lead and execute industrial and pilot-scale trials at customer sites, supporting the successful implementation of solutions and documenting results through relevant reporting systems and customer reports.
• Support Local Application Center activities by designing and running application trials based on customer requirements, using appropriate formulations, methodologies, standards, and equipment.
• Work closely with customers to troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and optimize product quality, yield, texture, functionality, and process efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Head of Technical Dairy to design, execute, evaluate, and follow up on customer and internal trial protocols.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and customer training, and support commercial teams with technical expertise during customer visits, project discussions, product evaluations, and business development activities.

What you'll need to be successful in this role

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Dairy Science, Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the dairy industry, preferably with strong exposure to cheese manufacturing and applications.
• Hands-on experience conducting industrial trials and providing technical customer support in dairy processing environments.
• Strong knowledge of cheese production technologies, cultures, enzymes, and dairy processing principles.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong communication, presentation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a regional team.
• Ability to travel frequently across KSA and other Middle East countries, up to 50% of the time.

• An interest in continuously developing expertise in cheese manufacturing processes, cultures, enzymes, and dairy ingredient applications relevant to the Middle East market.

Working conditions
