Role Overview
The Application Engineer builds the web applications finance users rely on in Pinnacle DXB's Finance Automation Program: dashboards, approval screens, exception queues, admin pages and secure APIs that connect to the ERP, Databricks and the AI automation layer.
Experience: 4–7 years of full-stack development with at least 2 production applications delivered. Full-time, onsite in Dubai or remote. Experience building finance or enterprise workflow apps is strongly preferred. The client wants to close this role within 2–3 weeks.

What You'll Work On
- Build the frontend in React or Angular: forms, dashboards, approval screens, exception queues and admin pages
- Build backend services and REST APIs in Node.js, .NET, Java or Python
- Integrate with the ERP, Databricks, SharePoint, Teams and AI automation tools
- Implement secure login with SSO (OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect) and role-based access control
- Design database tables, stored procedures and queries
- Add validation, error handling and audit logging
- Write automated tests and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Support deployments, monitoring and production fixes
- 4–7 years of full-stack development
- Strong React or Angular
- Backend in Node.js, .NET, Java or Python
- REST APIs and system integration
- Strong SQL and database design
- Authentication, authorisation and secure coding
- Git and CI/CD; has delivered at least 2 production applications
- Finance or enterprise workflow app experience strongly preferred
- Azure App Service or Azure Functions
- Docker
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Databricks SQL APIs
- Finance workflow apps (approvals, audit trails, exception handling)
- Frontend-only or backend-only with no full-stack ownership
- Fewer than 2 production applications delivered
- No experience with authentication / RBAC / secure coding
- Under 4 years of development experience
- Builds clean, maintainable code
- Simple user experience for finance users
- Works closely with the finance specialist, data and AI automation engineers
- Full-time, dedicated to the Finance Automation Program (one person per role; openings: 1)
- Location: Dubai, UAE (onsite) or Remote
- Experience: 4–7 years
- Professional English required
- ERP and cloud platform to be confirmed by the client (likely SAP / Microsoft Azure; experience with SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics and Azure or AWS is relevant)
- Compensation discussed with shortlisted candidates
- Hiring timeline: the client wants to close this role within 2–3 weeks
