About Our Client

The hiring company is a large organization within the transport & distribution industry, known for its extensive operations and commitment to excellence. They are seeking a dedicated professional to join their accounting & finance department to support their financial operations.

Job Description

Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification and payment preparation.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies during payment processing.
Maintain accurate records of payments and related financial documents.
Collaborate with internal teams to address any discrepancies or issues in invoices.
Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciliation of accounts payable balances.
Monitor vendor accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve any payment disputes.
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in the accounts payable process.

The Successful Applicant

A Successful AP Payment (1 Year Contract) Should Have

A diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Proficiency in financial systems and software, with strong MS Excel skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of accounts payable practices within the transport & distribution industry is an advantage.
