Role Overview

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to support the Finance function, reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Accountant. The role involves regular interaction with both internal and external stakeholders and responsibility for supporting the accounts payable processes across a portfolio of 54 entities. Key duties include the accurate processing of supplier invoices, execution of payments, and completion of supplier account and bank reconciliations.

The successful candidate will be a professional, detail-oriented individual who can operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. The role requires strong organisational and analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining effective working relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure company policy/procedures for authorising invoices are adhered to.
  • Processing multicurrency invoices and expenses
  • Ensure invoices are processed with correct VAT inputs
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Assist with the preparation of supplier payments by BACS
  • Post bank transactions
  • Resolve supplier queries
  • Manage shared accounts inbox
  • Process Staff expenses
  • Set up new vendors
  • Maintenance of Purchase Orders
  • Month-end assistance
  • Adhoc accounts payable queries as required

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Experience of SAGE Intacct preferable
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Positive attitude
  • Excellent communication (written / verbal) skills
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptable to change/improvements
  • Knowledge of KSA/Local Tax Laws
  • Added advantage if able to read/write and speak in Arabic.
