Anesthesia Technician

The Anesthesia Technician supports anesthesiologists in preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and monitoring patients during surgical procedures. This hands-on role ensures a sterile and safe environment in operating rooms and contributes to the smooth functioning of anesthesia services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and knowledgeable about medical equipment handling.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain anesthesia machines and monitoring devices.

• Assist anesthesiologists in administering anesthesia during surgeries.

• Monitor and report patient vitals before, during, and after procedures.

• Sterilize and organize all tools, instruments, and equipment.

• Set up IVs, airway equipment, and other devices before procedures.

• Maintain inventory of anesthesia supplies and reorder when needed.

• Dispose of biohazardous materials according to regulations.

• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.

• Respond quickly to emergency situations in the operating room.

• Document and update equipment usage and maintenance logs.

Requirements:

• Diploma or certification in Anesthesia Technology or related healthcare field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical environment.

• Familiarity with anesthesia equipment and sterilization procedures.

• Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certification.

• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in high-stress situations.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care protocols.

• Ability to work in rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Good communication and team collaboration skills.

• DHA license or eligibility is mandatory.
